Anthony W. Conway Executive Director, Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers
Tony Conway became the fourth Executive Director of the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers in July 2006. The Alliance is a 30-year old coalition of nonprofit organizations that depend on the Nation’s postal system. Conway represents nonprofit mailer interests with the United States Congress, Postal Service and Postal Regulatory Commission.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Conway enjoyed a 34-year career with the United States Postal Service. He held a number of different management positions in a variety of functional areas, but the majority of his experience was in the Postal Service’s government relations unit. Over the years he managed legislative and public policy relations with the United States Senate, House of Representatives, major mailers, trade associations, postal unions and management associations.
Tony Conway is among the most knowledgeable and well-regarded professionals in the postal policy arena. His experience within the Postal Service and the highly collaborative relationships he has built with colleagues across all segments of the postal community are tremendous assets as he advances the continuing leadership role of the Alliance in representing nonprofit mailers.
Tony received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Virginia and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the Darden Graduate Business School of the University of Virginia.
The Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers is a national association of nonprofit organizations that use the mail to raise funds, solicit members and disseminate information. The Alliance is the primary representative of nonprofit mailers in postal rate litigation before the Postal Regulatory Commission and is a highly-respected advocate before Congress, the US Postal Service and other agencies to protect nonprofit postal privileges.
