Kathleen J. Siviter will become its next executive director of the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers (ANM) in Washington, D.C., effective October 1. She succeeds Stephen M. Kearney, who will retire after 12 years leading the organization.
The Alliance is the only national organization exclusively representing nonprofit mailers before Congress, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), and the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC).
Siviter has had a long career in postal policy and advocacy. She has served as assistant executive director of the National Association of Presort Mailers, president of Postal Consulting Services, and vice president for the Association for Postal Commerce. Earlier in her career, Siviter spent 12 years at the U.S. Postal Service. She will be the ANM’s 6th executive director.
“I am honored to lead the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers at such a critical time for the nonprofit community,” Siviter said via a statement. “The Alliance has never been more important to ensuring that charitable organizations can continue to rely on affordable, predictable, and reliable mail. I look forward to building on Steve Kearney’s legacy and working with our members to protect the vital role mail plays in sustaining the missions of nonprofits nationwide.”
James Asselmeyer, ANM board president and vice president of operations at Guideposts, said via a statement: “Over the past decade, Steve has made invaluable contributions to the Alliance and to the nonprofit mailing community. His leadership and dedication have earned him widespread respect across the Postal Service, the PRC, and the broader mailing industry.”
