PMG Names Solid Executives to Key Posts

May 27, 2015

Recently, Postmaster General Megan Brennan named James Cochrane as Chief Marketing and sales Officer and Randy Miskanic as Chief Information Officer. While both are in an acting status they should be great permanent appointments.

Jim Cochrane has broad experience over his 39 years at USPS and clearly ‘gets it’ that the Postal Service must work with its customers to sustain itself. This was illustrated in his recent appearance before a Senate roundtable on remaining relevant in the digital age, where he said: “The Postal Service is committed to evolving our products and services to meet the needs of our customers, whether consumers, small businesses or large commercial mailers. Innovation is a collaborative effort. We work closely with our customers to meet their needs, address issues and problems, and develop solutions that work best for them and the Postal Service. Working together, we can remove roadblocks and develop mutually beneficial solutions that often spark growth in certain sectors of the mailing industry.”

Recognizing the importance of information security in today’s world, Randy Miskanic has an extensive law enforcement and IT resume, as well as being in charge of recent initiatives to better integrate USPS into the digital space.

We wish both Jim and Randy all the best!
